ForViva have a strong track record of collaborating with a great range of local, regional and national partners to grow, and their drive to continue to develop key partnerships led to them working with Sysco. Sysco have helped ForViva to improve one of the most important parts of their business, their people. Sysco have been providing the new Housing and Management Standards qualifications to their staff and have successfully ensured learners are completing their qualifications to a high level.

We spoke to Rachel Roberts, ForViva’s Training and Apprenticeship Coordinator to find out how she has found our service and account management so far…

Q: Hi Rachel, thanks for speaking with us today, firstly, what first attracted you to working with Sysco?


A: Hi, I was recommended Sysco as a training partner by a colleague who had worked for Sysco in the past before moving to ForViva.


Q: How have you found the account management from Sysco’s BDEs?


A:The level of service and efficiency from Sysco has been excellent since we first started working together. Our assigned BDE is quick to respond to any questions or queries and is always keen to provide support.


Q: Are you kept up to date with your employee’s progress in their qualifications?


A: We receive monthly updates on how all of our staff are progressing that include; how far along the qualification they are based on the projected targets; attendance records; course feedback forms; tutor comments. I also receive regular courtesy calls from our account manager to ensure I am happy with how everything is progressing.


Q: How would you rate the communication from Sysco’s tutors?


A: Sysco’s tutors communication is good and they show a high level of flexibility in their delivery.


Q: How do apprenticeships benefit your business?


A: By up-skilling our existing staff, we improve staff morale and support people in their desire to extend their knowledge. It also means we have fully engaged and well-educated people making good and informed management decisions.

A: Yes – they have been hugely supportive and helpful. They do a great job!
