Financial Support

Students enrolling on a Higher Education programme with Sysco Business Skills Academy Ltd can access a range of financial support towards the tuition costs of their programme. Sysco aims to be as open and transparent as possible regarding fees charged for Higher Education and support that is available; further detail can be found here (hyperlink to Policies and Procedures page of website) within the HE Tuition Fee Course Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Any specific queries that you may have regarding finance issues can be directed to he@sysco.uk.com.

Tuition Fees

The Tuition Fees that students will be required to pay for the 2025/26 academic year, based on the course they are enrolling on, will be set as below;

  • Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Sport – £7,500
  • Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Performing Arts – £7,500
  • BA (Hons) Performing Arts (via the University of West London) – £9,000
  • BA (Hons) Performing Arts Top Up (via the University of West London) – £9,000

Students enrolling on a Higher Education programme can either self-fund their programme, or fund via a sponsor, or access a Tuition Fee Loan from the Student Loans Company. If a student decides to self-fund, or is being sponsored to complete the programme, they should inform Sysco Business Skills Academy Ltd at the earliest opportunity so an invoice can be raised for the fees to be paid.

The vast majority of students would be expected to fund their Tuition Fees via a Loan from the Student Loans Company however, based off prior experience.

Student Loans Company

Students wishing to access loan support to fund their Higher Education programmes with Sysco should make an application to the Student Loans Company as early as possible. There are two types of loan that students can access, if required – a Tuition Fee Loan and a Maintenance Loan. Whereas the Tuition Fee Loan covers the cost of your Tuition Fees and is paid directly to us as an institution rather than to you as the student, the Maintenance Loan is an optional loan that students can apply for to help with day-to-day living costs during their programme, should they require support with this.

In order to ensure students are correctly applying for the right course with the Student Loans Company, the SLC codes for each course are available as below;

  • Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Sport – 1014454
  • Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Performing Arts – 1014453
  • BA (Hons) Performing Arts (via the University of West London) – 1007380
  • BA (Hons) Performing Arts Top Up (via the University of West London) – 214350

Higher Education applicants can start their applications for Tuition Fee and/or Maintenance Loans from the link below. The Student Loans Company advise students to complete their loan applications as early as possible in order to ensure there is no delay in loans support when enrolment is confirmed in September.

Grant & Scholarship Support Available at Sysco Business Skills Academy Ltd

Sysco Business Skills Academy Ltd is committed to ensuring that all of our Higher Education students are supported to be able to complete their programmes. In order to do this, we have identified some areas within data for our Access & Participation Plan where additional support may be useful in allowing students to fulfil their potential on the programme. This has led to Sysco establishing two Scholarship and Grant schemes, detailed below, to improve opportunities for students.

BAME Grant

Sysco Higher Education students from the BAME community who fully enrol in September 2025 and continue on programme post the 2-week cooling off period will be eligible to receive an upfront grant of £250. This will be reimbursed to students from Sysco via the Student Loans Company and will not be conditional on ongoing attendance or achievement after the cooling off period.

The core motivation of the BAME grant is to ensure students who may previously have been underrepresented are given every opportunity to be able to access Sysco Higher Education programmes.

First in Family Scholarship

Sysco HNC & HND students who are the first in their family to enrol on a Higher Education programme will be eligible for ongoing financial support during the academic year to ensure achievement, should they continue to engage and attend their classes. First-in-Family students are eligible for up to £500 if they remain on programme until the end and achieve their qualification.

These Scholarship funds will be reimbursed to students from Sysco via the Student Loans Company and will be paid in 3 instalments, as below;

  • £200 if the student is on-programme on 1st November
  • £100 if the student is on-programme on 31st January
  • £200 if the student remains on-programme until the end of their academic year

The core motivation of the First-in-Family Scholarship is to ensure students who may previously have been underrepresented are given every opportunity to be able to continue and complete Sysco Higher Education programmes.

Sysco will also retain funds in a Hardship Fund which any students who are in severe financial difficulty that a maintenance loan would not be able to cover, would be able to apply for. Applications to the Hardship Fund should provide sufficient details for Sysco to assess the severity of your situation and potentially be backed up with supplementary evidence where required.
