The Sysco Group is committed to providing a consistently high quality experience for all. It is the responsibility of Sysco to put in place effective quality arrangements to cover all the key stages of delivery.

 

It is therefore critical that Sysco has systems in place to not only ensure the standard of training it delivers but also that the quality assurance system and the training delivery will continually improve.

 

There are three main aims to Quality within Sysco:

 

Compliance – Sysco continually review Quality to ensure that we meet the required compliant of the range of organisations. 

 

Consistency – Sysco maintain consistency and ensure the quality of training is never less than satisfactory.

 

Continuous Improvement – Sysco currently hold ISO 9001: 2000 this standard is heavily couched towards the certificated organisations commitment to continuous improvement.  Sysco uses various Quality tools to identify areas of improvement and takes appropriate action. 

 

 

Ofsted

During the 8th to the 11th of July 2008 Sysco was inspected by Ofsted.  A team of 6 Inspectors visited Sysco and conducted a thorough inspection covering Leadership and management and the sector areas Business Administration and Law, Hospitality and Catering and e2e.  The overall judgment provided by the inspectors confirmed the provision Sysco offers is good, Leadership and Management are good as are the arrangements for equality of opportunity and quality improvement.

  • Strategic planning is strong and responsive to the needs of the region.
  • Business planning is clear and realistic
  • The company has good operational leadership and management.
  • Sysco uses its partnership work well
  • Sysco chooses partners with expertise
  • Sysco has comprehensive, effective quality systems to audit and monitor performance against targets across all provision.
  • Quality of provision is good. Teaching and learning is good, support for learners is good, The extent to which programmes meet the needs and interests of learners and employers is good. Learner assessment is suitably through and effective
  • All learners gain good workplace skills they show significant improvements in professional competences. Training and coaching in the workplace are highly personalised and responsive to learners and employers requirements. They also develop greater confidence and skills at introducing improvements to working practices and procedures for their employers.
  • Progress reviews are of very good quality and involve employers well. Targets set at reviews are clear and achievable with realist timescales and effective monitoring. The reviews are particularly thorough and frequent.
  • Train to gain learners make very good progress with high success rates
  • Achievement and standards are good and timely success rates are high.

Equality of Opportunity:

  • Sysco works effectively with partners to enable those who would normally be underrepresented in learning to take up opportunities.

Matrix

Sysco are working towards the Matrix quality award. Matrix is a national quality standard for information, advice and or guidance in Learning and work.  Sysco feel that gaining the Matrix award will support the continuous improvement theme.  It is our intention to achieve the Matrix Standard for internal and external services.
