Being culturally aware of all company stakeholders promotes an internal and external environment of respect, harmony and productivity.

Who should attend?

Everybody working within an organisation should be culturally aware.

Course Overview

This training course will help you to recognise how inequality and discrimination can take place and identify the consequences. You will be able to assess appropriate support to address issues of inequality in the workplace. It will help build the value of cultural awareness and the application of this within teams and throughout the company.  You will also be able to identify how the legislation impacts on day to day working.

  • Induction and course overview
  • Exploring the differences between equality, diversity and disability and the impact on culture
  • Understanding the consequences and need for cultural awareness
  • Legislation
  • Language and sensitivity
  • Changing behaviour and attitude
  • Plenary, review and evaluation

Assessment

Action planning session at the end of the workshop will allow participants to identify their own development needs and plan for improvement. The action planning is carried out individually or in group sessions.

1 day in groups of up to 12
