Every employer must assess and manage health and safety. Accidents and ill health can ruin lives and damage business. Organisations are not expected to eliminate all risk, but they are required to protect people as far as 'reasonably practicable'. This course is suitable for anyone who has a responsibility to conduct a risk assessment or has an involvement in the risk assessment processes.

- Recommending suitable controls to eliminate/control risks using the hierarchy of risk management strategies
- Recording your assessment in an appropriate format
- Monitoring and reviewing risk assessments
- Understanding the meaning of 'Competence' in risk assessment and when to call for 'expert' advice
