This qualification is designed for individuals who are looking to develop their skills and knowledge in the application of occupational health and safety good practice in the workplace.
The NVQ is completed over a period of time, normally between 9-12 months. During this time you will be required to demonstrate your ability to develop and monitor procedures for health and safety for work operations and to also reduce the risk to health and safety.
To complete the qualification you will need to complete at least 7 units in a number of mandatory and chosen areas that are beneficial to the role you play within your company. The mandatory units that are essential to passing the certificate are:
During your qualification you be assessed on your competency by a leading Health and Safety expert. You will also benefit from one to one coaching and training in areas that are crucial to your development within your role. The assessments are carried out at your place of work and normally take 90 minutes every 3 weeks.
