What is Key to Apprenticeship?

Key to Apprenticeship is a 20 week course where you will be given the opportunity to experience valuable work tasters in quality companies specialising in Customer Service, Business Administration, ICT, Retail, and Hospitality.

During this course you will learn new skills, gain valuable experience and achieve qualifications to enable you to confidently apply and attend job interviews for Employment and Apprenticeships.

Sysco’s team are all fully qualified to offer you careers Advice and Guidance and support throughout your course.

Once you have secured employment, you have the opportunity to gain further qualifications on one of Sysco’s many Apprenticeship programmes that are on offer.

Who is it for?

This course is only available for learners between the ages of 16 to 18 (limited spaces available for 19 year olds – as long as you were 18 on the 1^st August 2011).

This programme is also ideal for you if you are; 

• Not currently in Education, Employment or Training
• Looking for the opportunity to work for Merseyside based companies in a variety of different roles (including Customer Service and Administration).
• If you have been eligible for Education Maintenance Allowance, as you will be able to continue to receive this while you are on your training course.
• If you have found it difficult and need some support to get a job or an Apprenticeship.
• If you need to learn new skills, gain experience or qualifications to be eligible for the entry requirements for an Apprenticeship.
• If you are looking for Employment.

Qualifications available on Key to Apprenticeship

• Level 2 Technical Certificate in Business Administration
• Level 2 Technical Certificate in Customer Service
• ASDAN Employability Awards/Certificates
• Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT
• Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace

Additional Information

• Sysco offer an excellent aftercare service, keeping in contact with learners and offering further advice and guidance if required.
• Support is readily available to assist you in completing applications for Bursary funds, benefits and financial support
• We have excellent support available for Careers advice from Connexions throughout the programme.
• Sysco have a full apprenticeship contract for the Northwest of the UK specialising in Housing, Customer Service, Team Leader, Administration, Management, Warehouse and Distribution, plus many others.
