Brighter Futures is an Ofsted accredited training provider based in Liverpool City Centre in the heart of the employment growth areas. Our pre-apprenticeship Study Programmes are a Government funded alternative to staying on at school that provides our learners’ with functional and vocational qualifications and prepares them for the workplace. Brighter Futures provides a combination of a Study Programmes and Traineeships that ensure learners and school leavers aged between 16 and 18 are equipped with the skills and experience necessary to improve their employability.

Study Programmes


Our Study Programme is a Government funded alternative to staying on at school that provides our learners’ with functional and vocational qualifications and prepares them for the workplace. B-tec qualifications in a number of areas such as business and health and social care are delivered in conjunction to up-skilling in functional skills for those who need to achieve maths and English following their GCSEs. Also provided is a work experience placement aimed at improving work skills and employability by exposing the learner to a live work place. The placement provides learners with content for their C.V. and material to refer to at interview, increasing their chances of landing that all important full time job role.
Study Programmes are delivered through our partner company, Brighter Futures. Brighter Futures is an Ofsted accredited training provider based in Liverpool City Centre that provides learners with a enriching learning experience in a safe environment.

Who’s it for?

We provide training to support Merseyside 16-18-year-olds into employment. It is classed as full-time education enabling parents to continue to claim child benefit.

Study Programme

Our Study Programmes have been developed to provide a valuable and fun learning experience for all of our students and, importantly, to lead to jobs. All of our Study Programmes feature qualifications and additional skills which are proven to be valuable to local employers together with opportunities to interact with local employers. Also provided is an 8 week work placement aimed at improving work skills and employability. The programmes are all work-related with the aim of ensuring all of our students are ‘work-ready’ and valuable to the local economy following the completion of their course.

What will the Study Programme do for you?

The Study Programme will provide you with the basis to confidently move on to a traineeship placement. By increasing your proficiency in English and Maths and improving your C.V. and interview technique, as well as receiving a vocational qualification in Customer Service, Retail, Business Administration and Hospitality and Catering we can provide you with all the skills and experience you need to gain employment.

Progression/What Next?

Upon completion of the Study Programme and work placement, you as a learner will have the skills and experience to undertake an apprenticeship or to gain meaningful employment. We are committed to ensuring all our learners progress on their chosen career path and can provide you with apprenticeship opportunities using our strategic business partnerships in the area.

Traineeships


A Traineeship is used in conjunction with the Study Programme as an education and training programme with work experience that unlocks the great potential of young people and prepares them for their future careers by helping them to become ‘work ready’. Designed to help young people aged 16 to 24 who don’t yet have the appropriate skills or experience. The Traineeship provides learners with content for their C.V. and material to refer to at interview, increasing their chances of landing that all important full time job role. We have worked with large employers such as Merseytravel and The Contact Company to provide Traineeships in the past and are constantly looking for new employers to work with.
Traineeships are delivered in conjunction with our partner company, Brighter Futures. Brighter Futures is an Ofsted accredited training provider based in Liverpool City Centre that provides learners with a enriching learning experience in a safe environment. We Health and Safety vet all employers we work with to ensure their environment is as safe as ours.

Traineeships are designed help young people who want to get an apprenticeship or job but don’t yet have appropriate skills or experience. At its core are work preparation training, English and Maths for those who need it, and a high quality work placement.
